EVENTS

Tweed

The Tweed area is known for having the most active and diverse regional arts community in Australia, with artists inspired by their natural surroundings, recreating the rich tapestry of mountains, rainforests, oceans, rivers, birdlife and native animals using every medium imaginable.

The area also boasts exceptional representation from local Indigenous artists whose artworks tell the Dreamtime stories of our land and its creation.

The Tweed Regional Gallery is surrounded by beautiful gardens and lawns and offers panoramic views of the Tweed River. It offers first-rate exhibitions and houses the Margaret Olley Art Centre – Australia’s most celebrated painter of still life and interiors.
