National Parks
Australia’s Green Cauldron is home to 12 National Parks – including the Border Ranges, Mount Barney and Main Range National Parks to the west, Lamington and Springbrook National Parks to the north, with Wollumbin (Mt Warning) National Park in the centre – many are found in the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia World Heritage Area – the southern hemisphere’s largest extinct shield volcano.
There’s so many things to do and places to discover – escape city life and go bushwalking, picnicking or cycling in national parks and reserves. When visiting national parks be aware of the risks and remember to plan ahead, and choose your walks and activities to match your stamina and fitness level.
